When I Cry My Mother's Tears

Here's a piece that may be in one of the new collections I've been working on lately. If you're here and you've seen this, let me know what you think or form a derivative and lmk, too:
when I cry my mothers tears
no baby my own the feeding
no picket fence to deliver me
no ambitions to chase past the stars
looking a mess
when I cry my mothers tears
the earth smiles upon the meeting of my mind
endure is the only language we two speak
pursuit is the dependence upon which I have planted my hopes
the gain in the entirety of but the smallest miracles
when I cry my mother’s tears
I see my reflection in her cry
so haughty was once the fire
capsizing in the onslaught of “moral” living
when I cry my mother’s tears
I say cursed is the soul that thought this bondage up for me
the impeachment of love for law
is it fair?
some struggle with lying
others with the rain
my ever after in this one cannot come to be
and my eternity, well you know what they say: almost doesn’t count
So complete surrender is what it must be
if ever there is a song for me
be it the one my knees make when they meet the dirt
somehow I find to cry tears of joy in all this catastrophe of heart and soul
when I cry my mother’s tears
