Poetry

"I be the flower-through-concrete-through-nonexistence
that grew legs
to traverse geography and thought-scapes.
Amazed by where all the flowers do
grow.
Laughing and in awe."

Her poetry  explores themes of the crisis of today’s world order, social commentary, identity, belonging, love, spirituality, and the natural world. She has published several collections including Right By My Next to Me, Black Architects, Winter, Lalibela and Bethesda. Some of her work can also be found in the BX Writers Anthology, Vol. 1, published in 2019.
